Will this cooler work with this ram ?

According to my friend , once I get my i7 the fan will fit over the processor without any issue and will not be affected by this ram ?
I already own the ram.

If you are going to upgrade the cooler, better to get lower profile ram, ram heat sinks don't do anything but look good anyway.

I know of some coolers which will work with the ram.
I'm not buying new ram.

I already own the ram.

I was just making sure the stock cooler for the i7 works with it.

Stock cooler would work fine but if you were going to upgrade you heatsink I would look at something like a h60 or h100 with the high profile memory heatsink s

I have that Ram, and its sits pretty high...in fact i took the heatsinks off cos the cooler i have ( see below) wouldn't fit otherwise

If your looking at corsair H series coolers they have just launched a couple of upgraded models - the H100i and H80i

You might what to look at Corsair's Hydro series track record before you consider buying. Lots and lots of problems taking almost forever to maybe resolve.... They are noisy, will wear out faster than air coolers and do not cool any better.... so why bother??

Their on website says almost nothing about the new coolers. Tried using their "compare" and it's worthless.

Sorry, but Corsair is not something I would even consider.. except maybe for nightmares.
