Will this CPU increase performance ?

I recently got a GTX 680 as an upgrade from a 6970 and haven't really noticed any performance increase on the two games i play the most, iracing and arma... presumably because these sims rely on CPU more than GPU.

So I'm thinking i should upgrade my CPU/Motherboard

I currently have

Intel Core i5-2400 3.10GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor
Gigabyte H67M-UD2H-B3 Intel H67 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard - (Sandybridge) ** B3 REVISION **

Im looking at getting this to upgrade my system

Would this offer a substantial performance increase over my current cpu/mobo combo ?

ok cheers for the suggestion, although I've never over clocked anything in my life and find the prospect of doing so quite daunting !

also, just how much of a performance increase will i get compared to my current setup ? will it be quite substantial ?

one other thing, is there any CPU out there which can fit into my current motherboard which will give me a big boost in performance ? im pretty sure i cant overclock with my current motherboard so bare that in mind... it would have to be at stock ghz.

will the 3.5ghz 3570k give me a noticeable boost in performance ? its only got a higher clock speed by 0.4ghz. makes me wonder if its worth it ? im looking for a hefty performance increase hence why the overclocked cpu at 4.4ghz appealed to me.

as far as im aware i cant overclock with my current motherboard so would be stuck at stock speeds.

If it doesn't offer enough performance increase can i overclock it at a later date so long as i get a new motherboard which allows overclocking ? if so what would be the max speed i could overclock this cpu too ?

ok cool, and the final question...

how easy is it to overclock ? im literally king spazmo when it comes to technical stuff like this. I have never overclocked anything or even touched or dared to look at a BIOS screen.

Thats the main reason the pre overclocked bundle in my OP caught my eye, saves me the hassle of having to do it myself !
