Will this display at the same rez??

My friend will be using two of these BenQ monitors. He will be running this 6570 GPU.

My question is, as these monitors only have DVI and the GPU only has one DVI and an HDMI, if he uses an HDMI to DVI cable will both monitors run the same or will it treat the monitor with the HDMI as a screen and so scale?

both DVI and HDMI support 1080p, no scaling involved
they are electrically the same, just the connectors are different
