going to build my self a pc rig this year so just woundering if this rig would fit my needs

will be useing it to play
minecraft
l4d 1&2
dayz and when the dayz standalone is released
call of duty
tf2
and other games built around those engines

will also be used for video rendering but not epic amounts

Perfect. The quad will help with the rendering more so than a dual core. You can always add more ram if your applications(rendering software) requires it.
