has anyone had any experiences with the NZXT BETA EVO Classic Series case?
my criteria is i need a case that will give good airflow to keep my i7 cool, allow 4 or more hard drives and fit my 9800GTX+, with the possability of upgrading to 2xHD5770 or 2xHD5850.

this is the bit that concerns me, according to google the 9800GTX+ is 10.5", the HD5770 and HD5850 are slightly less according to some people, but slightly bigger according to others. anyone got one with the actual dimensions? or is the '10.5"' just the max size of the cards when case was released so they saw no need to say 'fits large 13" cards' ?

Those two spaces on top for 120mm fans makes 240mm. That works out at 9.5" ish. Adding in the extra spaces accounts for an extra inch or two, so i'd say it probably won't fit a 13" card.

maybe check there website to see if they show how big the actual area a gfx would fit is like lian-li do.

just an example of what some manufactures do not the case your looking at

13" was a made up number, think the HD5870 is 11.6" and the HD5970 is 12.1",not sure if Nvidia have anything longer than that.

been to their site and those 2 were their best pics :( and i pasted all the specs they give too :(

The NZXT is good case for the money, and as you can see in this review a GTX 260 (10.5 Inches) does fit but only just. Also, it only comes with one fan- so you will want to buy at least one more.

According to this the 5850 is 9.5 inches, or 24cm.

Personally, I would go for the lancool dragonlord if you can afford the extra. it is bigger, has more features, 2 stock fans and in my opinion looks nicer. Here is a review showing its features and here is another with a 9800GTX fitting nicely.

thing is i have vouchers for another shop, so a bit limited on what i can get :(

looking at the review pic for the NZXT with the gtx260 the card is placed in the bottom pci-e slot, which has less room than the top and fits ok, so should be another inch or so for the top pci-e slot. not too bothered what fans it comes with as no doubt they will only be cheap ones, and can pick cheap fans up from work for very little if need be to keep me going.

i have the nzxt apollo, quite a similar looking case, with the xfx 4890. ive got about an inch and half from the end of the card to the hard drive tray (the inside looks identical to your pics, bar an extra 5.25 in height)
