not sure if i should post this in the cooling thread or here, but anyway:
i have:
1 x Asus M4A88T-M AMD 880G (Socket AM3) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £56.99
1 x Coolermaster Elite 342 Case - Black £24.98
and i wanted to know if anyone has the same (maybe with a different mobo) and has used a corsair H50 cpu cooler.
the problem is, both the rear vent, and the side vent are for 80 or 90mm fans. only the front intake will fit a 120mm fan. this would be fine, but the length of the tubes on the H50 is 28cm, which is worryingly close to the gap between the CPU and where the RAD will be. i just wanted to know if anyone has tried fitting the H50 into the elite 342 case before with success or failiure
i have looked at all the decent, high end air coolers, but they are too tall for the case, so they are out.
*edit*
almost forgot, i know the fan lead is too short, and that i will need an extention. thats not a problem atall
