Will this graphics card work with this motherboard?

I have just bought today the (Asus Radeon RX 5700 8GB GDDR6 PCI-Express Graphics Card)
I have the (MSI X99S SLI Plus Intel X99 (Socket 2011) DDR4 ATX Motherboard)

Didn't even think to ask here before I bought it :confused:

, any help would be great!

edit: and if it does work how much in terms of performance am i loosing with a PCIE 4.0 GPU to PCIE 3.0 motherboard? Will the GPU run at half speed?

It’ll be fine and you won’t notice any difference at all in games.

Yes, of course it will work and no, being in a PCIe 3 slot will have zero detrimental effect on its performance, it doesn’t get close to maxing out a 16x PCIe 3’s capabilities.

i just upgraded to a b450 board from a z170 one and i have a 5700, no concerns here about pcie 4 which i wont have for many years
