It only has a 60gb at the moment and its doing my headin!

Yeah I imagine any 2.5" drive will be compatable, altho its a tad slow at 4200rpm..might want to consider some faster drives, like 5400 or 7200rpm.

There don't seem to be many high capacity 2.5" hard drives around

To get higher speed I need to drop down to 160gb and I'm really after the space more than anything.

Do you know of anyother higher capacity 2.5" hard drives?

There is a western digital 250gb 5400rpm model out there that fits the macbooks

I'd definitely recommend a 7200rpm for the added speed

I would strongly recommend not dropping down to a 5200rpm drive However it is possible that the data density of the Fujitsu might make it quicker than the 5200rpm drives manufactured a few years ago. Probably best to get a slightly smaller 5200rpm drive or wait a bit.

id reccomend get a 5400/7200rpm drive for the actual laptop and just use an external drive (or 3.5inch in a hard drive caddy) for storage of big files if its practical for this.
