Hey guys,

im looking at this item on ebay, :

"Mini Cooper S 1.6i R53 RAMAIR Foam Induction Air Filter Performance Intake Kit"

Not sure if I can link?

Will this at a reasonable 50 notes...help with my induction performance/supercharger whine?

Or do I really need to spend £150+ to get what im after form my standard mini (keeping it this way, just the induction kit im after)..

Cheers guys!

I made my one which is almost identical to the JCW one.

It was dead easy if you have a drill and a few tools, and really quite rewarding! I can supply you with a part list if you want.

Awesome mate, that would be good, I know its a bit trivial but did your S/C whine increase in the cockpit?

I will find the parts list. May even have some photos.

It did, but the best results came from increasing the size of the hole that comes out of the back of the bottom half of the airbox until a little area just below the windscreen.

The one you linked to, wont be great for the 53. But the DaveF/Orranje Steatlth Intake mentioned above will do the trick. You can make your own or you could purchase one already made from Orranje Performance. https://orranje.co.uk/mini-generati...ne-parts1/orranje-stealth-cold-air-intake-kit

Going to get the stealth intake, and to confirm as im doing NO other mods, should help with the SC "whine" a lot? its all I care about really, a few extra MPG too would be a nice bonus :D:D
