Will this HI FI system power my DJ equipment

hey guys,

I have a SONY DHC-MD373 Micro HI FI system at my mums, can I use the speakers and the inbuilt amp on the unit to power DJ setup, or would I need a dedicated AMP?

I don't think so, but wanted to check with you guys first!

If it has an AUX in then run your mixer out to that and will work fine.

Yeah, there are phono input/output called TAPE, im guessing I just connect it to that connector and select TAPE for source (as apposed to cd/mini disk) to output the sound on that connection?

sorry if that sounds like a mess the way I have written it !! :confused:

Yep. That should work fine. At least you'll be able to play your equipment.

I personally prefer a dedicated amp and speakers set-up. But then I've been using the same set-up for around 20 years now.
