I currently have:
Radeon R9 270X
AMD Piledriver FX-6 Six Core 6300 Black Edition 3.50GHz
Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 AMD 990X
TeamGroup Elite Black 8GB

So was planning an upgrade for general performance and gaming experience so its smoother and run faster so was planning this.

250gb SSD Drive
Another 8GB of RAM

Or would it be better to get another Radeon R9 270X

SSD will provide a very appreciable boost in boot-up and loading games. The RAM not so much.

Of course, getting another GFX card for CF will probably give you the best overall improvement in game performance, but you might also just hold off until a more powerful card is available.

SSD is the single largest performance boost in usual system running, makes the system feel much faster and more quick to respond - that said it wont improve fps in games.

as others have said, an SSD will help with your computing experience if not FPS. I'd say having an SSD is a great option for everyone. Can be smaller than 250GB to save cash if you want, just needs to hold the OS really.

The extra ram is pretty pointless, there are better areas to spend your cash. Your CPU is ok but not great, your GPU is decent but not high-end, either of these would be a better upgrade option.
