Will This Lense Fit my 400D

AF in the context stands for Auto Focus, EF and EF-S are Canon's lens mount acronyms. The fact that it's noted as Canon Fit suggests that it will probably be an EF mount and hence will fit the 400D.

I think its an AF
AF just means autofocus.
What Scuzi's meaning is the name of the lens mount. Canon autofocus have two, EF which you can use on any canon autofocus camera or the EF-s which you can use on all the 1.6 crop cameras.

There was also a Canon FD mount for manual focus cameras.
You need to find out which mount it is although if it's AF it should be fine

Yeah, it should defo be fine. IIRC, it's just older Sigma Canon mount lenses that can cause trouble on newer DSLRs. I bought an oldish (5-7 years) Tamron 20-40mm without really knowing, and it works fine.

It's something to do with the programming withing Sigmas lenses hardware that causes the problem. Tamron do it differently and thus don't cause any trouble.
