The ram will probably interfere with the cooler, have a look at the ram below:

That cooler is said to cover RAM slots, however if your only using 2 modules of RAM and you are sure that the motherboards 3rd and 4th slot work by their own without having RAM in the 1st and 2nd, go for it.

Thanks I was considering the Geil but wouldn't ram that has XMP and is 8-8-8 instead of 9-9-9 be better or won't it matter that much?
