I'm pretty sure the M4A785D-M only supports DDR2 - see spec link

So no, it wont support the OCZ Platinum 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3.

It will, provided your motherboard supports DDR3.

DDR3 is NOT cross-compatible with any other memory types

ah sorry, im ordering a new motherboard with it along with a new heatsink. the new mobo supports ddr3 and ddr2. Thats okay aslong as i know that it all works

If the motherboard supports DDR3 then the memory will work no problem
