It will support the Xeons, but it won't overclock them too well.

Like most boards it won't take a quad-core over ~340mhz FSB. The ASUS P5B Deluxe and Abit AB9 Quad GT are better options for Quads.

Or hold on until tomorrow to see what the new Intel P35 chipset boards offer.

I'm currently running a Q6600 in an intel Bad Axe 2 975x,I haven't had time to test stability exhaustively yet but I've managed to run 4 instances of Prime 95 (blend) @ 370FSB producing 3.33GHZ on 1066 strap for 8hrs,the main problem is keeping these quads at a reasonable temp.

Mine is on an air cooled test bed at present but will be going underwater within the next day or 2.

What kind of clocks have you managed on the DS3 Cob? and how are the quads temps when underwater?

I'll be cooling with an HE 120.2/LaingD5/swiftech storm/1/2" Tygon, this will hopefully tame these wild temps I'm currently witnessing....up to 75 degrees @ load!

I'm running at 333x9. My DS3 isn't stable above that. It was able to run my e6600 at 7x500 fine so I'm upgrading to one of the new P35 boards when I get confirmation that they clock quads ok.

Temps wise, atm Everest is reading 60c, 60c, 58c and 56c with all four cores Folding @100%. That's on 1.36v in Windows and room temp at about 22c. I've just bought a D-Tek Fuzion from MM and I'm hoping it will lower them a bit. My current XSPC block probably isn't the best for quads.
