Hi, got a small upgrade to a small pc that needs to be done. (It isn't mine but I will be building it).

I will be using this CPU "Intel Pentium 4 516 2.93Ghz.

With this motherboard. "EVGA nForce 610 Micro-ATX"

Just making sure if these 2 will work together.
I see they are the same socket, but I am unsure about the chipset and other stuff.

Do these 2 items work together?
Thanks, in advance.

should do, same socket. Perhaps the more pertinent question is why a P4? I assume you must have got it free, what with the cheap prices of a e2140.

Thanks for that.
Why p4?
I have a friend who has just got a new computer. e6550 cpu in it, and his old pc has this p4. His younger brother (who is about 12) just wants a pc that will play games, not well, just play them.
So he's spending his chrismas money on a motherboard and a graphics card. (as the current motherboard has no agp or pci-e socket. weird eh?
