First of all i am AWFUL at saving lol Ive decided to buy each part of my new upgrade bit by bit (i7 next month with this mobo this month)http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-399-AS&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=1692

The only problem is i will not have enough for the RAM for a good 4-7 months and want to get using it right away. Will my current ddr3 duel channle 1333 ram work with it for now? Thanks for any information you can give - Adam:)

P.s Ill be buying the I7 second hand. off topic how can i tell if the CPU is D0?

For e.g if it says 930 Bloomfield 2.80Ghz 8Mb socket 1366. Would you say thatsA D0? I know nothing about intel sorry for such a Nooby question.

The ram will work but in duel channel mode.

As for the processor the key is in the Manufactures code which is printed on the box and on the chips heat shield.

I dont know it off hand but someone will put up a link im sure to the relevant info.

It'll work in dual channel. All 930s are D0.
