Will this network idea work?

Hi,

I am thinking about ditching my wireless as it is annoying me with the speeds it gets. Now I have 3 things in my room that wants access to the net, and all are static things. The router is downstairs so I was thinking about using a pair of 200mb powerline adaptors, then connecting the powerline adaptor in my room to a 4 way ethernet switch. That way I only need 1 powerline adaptor.

What you describe should be fine.

I currently do this actually, and it works great!
Although sometimes when I have all 4 things; XBOX 360, PC, Server, LG Internet TV Box all running at the same time, speeds can get rather slow.

Where yours is going to be plugged into an Ethernet switch, mine is connected to an Ethernet switch with wireless transmitter, either way, it works very well.

Good to hear, I hardly ever use more than 2 at a time so bandwidth should be all fine. Thanks for the help.
