Will this PC run ARMA II and CS-S @ 1920x1080 (High to Max details?)

The pc is:

Core i7 920 (overclocked probably)
6Gb DDR3 1600Mhz
1tb HDD
GTX 480

Thanks.

(For 1920x1080 resolution, large amounts of AA not needed)

CS-S yes, Arma 2 maybe

edit: Sorry didn't read the resolution, the 480 will probably struggle on high settings at that res. On my crossfire 6950's I have to lower view distance and AA to get smooth 60fps. Arma is not a particularly well optimised game.

Dumb question, but what would be a better choice if the money was around the same:

Dual GTX 295's (if it works)
GTX 480

The GTX480 would be a better choice

I play arma2 a lot , my sig machine only runs most settings at med with a 3K view distance

CS:S it will run without issue.

Arma2 you have no hope in hell in playing it smoothly at max settings at that resolution. Even brand new kit will struggle to play it smoothly at max settings at that resolution.

Yeah, optimisation-wise they're chalk and cheese, and CS:S is about 8 years old. Wonder how it would cope on a map the size of Cherno though!

Even for Arma?

Its hard to say. Arma is the type of game where you mess with configs until you are happy with performance vs looks. I fancy if you run arma on that righ with everything maxed you will grt slowdown in built up areas or with a lot going on.
