Will this PC run Battlefield 4?

I had been planning to build a budget gaming pc, for around £300 (not including monitor or OS), which I want to play battlefield 4 on.

I have chosen an Asus gtx560 ti, with an Intel pentium G860. I know the gfx card can handle it, but is the CPU powerful enough to handle BF4? I had thought so, until I tried unparking my CPU cores on my 1st gen i7 prebuilt PC, which has a hopeless gt545 card. I found huge fps improvements, about 30 frames.

Does anyone have experience with this CPU or similar in BF4, is it good enough?

Thanks in advance

Honestly I think you'll struggle to get decent FPS on low setting with that. BF4 is a beast. I might be wrong but I don't think that set up is worth it for BF4. So your budget is £300 for everything bar OS and monitor? Guessing your ok for keyboard and mouse as well?

I'd guess that a hyperthreaded i3 would be the minimum you'd need if i'm honest.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI HD 7850 OC 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Cards £119.99
1 x Intel Core i3-2120 3.30GHz (Sandybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor - Retail £89.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77-DS3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard £79.99
Total : £301.37 (includes shipping : £9.50).

I think the OP is looking for a whole system!
I think you'll have to stretch your budget a little and go with AMD. I would have a go at specing one but I'm on my phone. Unless someone else beats me to it I'll have a go later. Also consider the B grade parts.

This is the best you'll get with a few assumptions. I am assuming you already have a case, CD drive and HDD. Again this is assuming you already have a PC! I'm going on the basis you said you already have a monitor and OS!

YOUR BASKET
1 x AMD A10-5800K Black Edition 3.80GHz (Socket FM2) APU Trinity Quad Core Processor (AD580KWOHJBOX) £99.95
1 x Kingston HyperX 3K SSD 120GB 2.5" SATA 6Gb/s Solid State Drive (SH103S3/120G) £74.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan RED 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLD38G1600HC9DC01) £59.99
1 x **B Grade** ASRock FM2A75M-DGS AMD A75 Chipset (Socket FM2) DDR3 Micro ATX (MB-098-AK) £40
1 x OCZ CoreXtreme 500w '80 Plus' Power Supply £35.99
Total : £322.31 (includes shipping : £9.50).

Using the APU instead of a GPU is the best you can do at this price range.

I recently played BF4 on my laptop and i struggled to get decent graphics. ~I could run low settings and get 30fps
i7 8gb, 7570m graphics and running 1024* 720 screen. So be careful because it may run but it may look terrible.
My advice is go second hand and save some cash and get more for your buck.

Ive had no issues with BF4 running but you just want to make sure you are well equipped.

No chance for BF4 for 300 quids, mate (even with used i7 @ LGA 1366 which is good idea). Sorry, but people buy graphic cards *only* for more than 300 pounds for BF4, so it's some kind of comparison.

just look at the minimum requirements

•Dual core CPU (Intel Core i5 or AMD “Bulldozer”).

your going to need something a lot more powerful than basically a P4 processor

actually those system requirements are not the official ones. The official requirements are as follows:

OS: WINDOWS VISTA SP2 32-BIT (WITH KB971512 PLATFORM UPDATE)
PROCESSOR: AMD ATHLON X2 2.8 GHZ / INTEL CORE 2 DUO 2.4 GHZ
MEMORY: 4 GB
GRAPHICS CARD: AMD RADEON HD 3870 / NVIDIA GEFORCE 8800 GT
GRAPHICS MEMORY: 512 MB
HARD DRIVE: 30 GB

This considered, it should technically run the game, but I have also seen the specs you listed there.

Anyway, thanks everyone, but I simply do not have the budget for anything more. A next gen console is not an option for the simple reason that I cannot use a controller!!!

I am hoping that the decent graphics card will make up for the slightly hopeless processor, and I think I will just go for it.

I am not interested in upgrading my other PC (I'm 14, and need a PC for me and a PC for parents).

Can you still get keyboard and mouse emulators for consoles? Sure I saw it on youtube (before google+ ruined it) - you plug iand KB&M into a controller box and then plug that into the controller port I think.

Have a look on google. Might solve your issues short term.

I don't know much about it, but I think Sony and Microsoft have put in several things to prevent the use of these emulators. Also, I will simply feel like I am cheating, as it is far more accurate to use a mouse than a controller.

Btw, totally agree with you about youtube (I think everyone does). Have you signed this http://www.change.org/en-GB/petitio...ube-comment-section-back-to-its-original-form?
