Will this power steering fluid work?

My cars (Rover 414) manual says it needs power steering fluid that meets the Dexron IID spec but all I could find is DIII. On the label it says:

"Halfords automatic transmission
and power steering fluid DIII

General Moters
GM-6417M"

Does anyone know if this will be any good? I don't want to mess it up.

Dex III should be fine, im sure its just high spec dexron 2 which is recommended for your car. It shouldnt be hard to get hold of, dex 2 is a very common fluid.

Any idea where to get Dexron 2 from? I can't find it anywhere, either online or in shops.

Main dealer?? Not sure on cost from there though.

Any motor factor. As yours is a rover Partco will be more than adequate.
