ive got an enermax coolergiant 485w.

according to MBM5 its showing 3.23v on the 3.3 volt line, 5.10v on the 5v line and 12.34v on the 12 line.

this is with the spec in my sig...

is this any good? as im going to get an X1800XT 256mb and i dont want my PSU to groan under the load.

Personally, I think 18A on the 12v rail is a bare minimum for current graphics cards, maybe even more. I'm no expert on power supplies though, so someone else might be able to put your mind at ease. If it powers your X800XL just fine though, I can't see why it'd have trouble.

soon we will have to bodge job a car battery and alternator onto a pc to provide 400 amps at 12v to power the damn things :D :D

I could nick one of our test units from work for the same job without the need for recharging as it's mains powered.

Only problem is it's the size of my wardrobe and makes more noise than a delta
