Hi All

Will an Antec Earthwatts 500W power this build okay? I asked on another forum and they said it didn't have enough amps. It has two 12v rails with 17A each. Is this enough?

Build is:

Case:
Antec Sonata III w/ Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU

Motherboard:
Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3

Processor:
Intel Pentium Dual Core 4500

Memory:
Kingston Value DDR2 PC2 5300 2x1GB

Hard Disk:
Seagate 250GB SATA 16MB Cache

Optical Drive:
LG DVDRW

Graphics Card:
Point of View 8400GS

OS:
Windows Vista Home Premium OEM 32Bit

Cooling Fans:
Antec 120mm DBB Tricool

This pc probably won't be upgraded at all. Only the ram and probably a PCI wifi card in the future.

Thanks

George

Easily enough, I'm not sure why anyone would say it doesn't, it isn't exactly a hugely demanding system you have there and Antec do make good PSUs. :)

One question though, is there any particular reason for the 32bit version of Vista?

Thanks for the replies, you've set my mind at rest.

As for 64 bit - simply because there's no need for me to have it. I also have some old USB stuff and an old WIFI router that i can't find 64-bit drivers for.

I'll go 64 bit in my next build, probably late next year.
