Hey there

Well I am just about to order a new PSU but was wondering, my motherboard says it has one 4-Pin ATX connector and one 24-Pin ATX connector but this PSU I am buying has one 4-Pin connector and I don't know about the 20/24 so I'll list the specs here and if someone could tell me if it will work with my motherboard it's much appreciated.

Motherboard Connector: 20+4 Pin

Connectors: 1 x 4pin ATX 12V
6 x 4pin Molex
2 x 6pin PCI-E Power
2 x FDD Power
2 x SATA Power

Thanks for your help and time.

So will a 20-Pin connector fit into a 24-Pin socket or will it not work with my mobo? Also, the PSU is a 600W EZ-Cool Silent SLi pPFC Power Supply PCI-E + SATA AMD & P4 Ready 12cm Silent Fan ATX12v Ready.

You haven't actually said what motherboard it is that I can see.

However the answer is probably. Some motherboards work fine with a 20pin plug connected, some work but are a little unstable and some simply won't work at all without a proper 24pin plug (rather rare though). What you can do is to get a 20-24pin adapter to try and make it more stable if you are having issues, it shouldn't cost more than a few pounds.
