Will this RAM be OK!

Hi, Just a quick question, I bought 2x2gb Kingston Hyper X PC2 8500 1066mhz by mistake because my mobo Gigabyte GA-P35C-DS3R manual says it supports 800/667 memory modules, haven't tried it yet as will send it back if not.

The Kingston 8500 memory has settings for 800MHz speeds @ 1.8v ( 5-5-5-18) so it will be fine. (8500 memory is overclocked 6400 memory.)

Additional: It may be that a BIOS update will allow the board to run 8500 memory at full spec... worth checking BIOS updates info.

If your mobo supports ddr2 it will be fine it will just run at the lower speed of 800mhz

If you plan to overclock at least your memory will be stable
