Will this RAM work with i7?

After looking into upgrading to i7 i have chosen my CPU, a 920 and my mobo, the P6T but it leaves very little in the way of a budget for memory.

Would this kit work to get the system up and running? Im wondering if the fact it needs 1.8v will damage the CPU

After i sell my Core2 board CPU and RAM id be in a better position to buy more RAM, either another 2 kits of the above to give 6Gb or a half decent 3x2Gb kit.

According to the Intel blah blah 1.65v is the maximum limit.

Yeah, you may be able to get away with the slightly higher voltage, but it wouldn't be worth throwing your warranty away and potentially damaging the CPU just to save £40 imo. With the Tri-channel you get and extra GB anyway, so it would be worth going Tri if you ask me.

I have the 2x 2gb version of this memory in my i7 system because i upgraded thinking i could get some triple channel memory later. I had to under clock it to 1200mhz its at 1.66v. its not ideal though
