Will this RAM work?

I have a mobo which supports DDR2 667/533/400, however, the spare RAM I have runs at 800Mhz. Will it run on this mobo [but, I presume, slightly slower]?

usually the SPD screen in cpu-z says what the ram supports, they always do support slower speeds

Well stated IMO. Also, the bios on the current MOBO will play into it. Most any DDR2-800 memory should run at 667.

Yes it just backward as it still support your motherboard - 400/533/667 that can work with DDR2-800 that will run 667 as backward.
