will this ram work

It seems Asus's QVL for that board is not present on their website to see if it's a validated combination.

However, the board supports DDR3 up to 1800 so the memory should be fine. I'm not clear whether the listing is only for a single stick? If so it will work but will only run in single channel mode.

Edit: I'd not looked at the price. AS XfXGamer says, you could buy more suitable memory brand new for slightly less money.

many thanks for you input guys its a great help as i know it takes a long time research and patience to learn about computers
im not quite there yet lol

thank you

regards connor

Yeah it will work but I wouldn't buy off ebay or 2nd hand ram myself. Its cheap enough to buy new.

Why not exactly, if a seller offers warranty then what's the problem ? Even better if you can simply pop over and test them yourself ?

Ram usually lasts a lifetime, I have one guy I keep buying ram from for years, which comes from disbanded company pc's.

I don't think it's buying second hand that's specifically the issue here, it's that if the OP buys the listed RAM he'll be paying more for 2nd hand single channel than brand new dual channel.
