Hi just a quick question, will this setup run Far Cry 2?

- AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 6000 3.10GHz (Socket AM2)
- Asus M3A78 AMD 780G (Socket AM2+) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
- OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2
- ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI/HDMI (PCI-Express)
- Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache
- Pioneer DVR-216DBK 20x DVD±RW SATA Dual Layer ReWriter (Black)
- Corsair VX 450W ATX PSU
- Arctic Silver 5 Heatsink compound professionally hand installed by our technicians

Thanks a bunch in advance

Should be fine - but I would probably change to Intel for better performance out of the box and overclocking ability. Have you played Far Cry 2 by the way?

I wish, have the game nice and ready waiting on my games shelf, bought it ini advance as I know I'm gonna get a prebuilt pc off overclockers in a couple of weeks, have you played it?

I have mate, and I sold it on the MM a day after I bought it. I was very disappointed. It's not all it was suppose to be. You will be suprised I think. Are you building this PC just for the game?

yup :)

That will run Far Cry 2 fine, my 8800 GTX runs ok @ 1900 x 1220 res the 4850 with the AMD 6000 will easly run it.

My mate played it on the 360 and says it's amazing, I also have the two S.T.A.L.K.E.R games, ET: Quake Wars, and more to play on it, it's a prebuild from overclockers not components.

I had it on the PS3, I found it to be a good game although very repetative.

That said its coming free with my new I7 920 so I will have another blast on the pc.

The pc in your op will run it fine although it *may* struggle a bit at higher resolutions (1920x1200+) due to a lack of vmem (judging by the reviews on bit-tech vmem has a large impact on the playability at high resolutions (and max settings)

Thats a good point. I have a 19" monitor at home I was hoping to run the pc on, the pc be able to run it on high at 1440x900 (19"monitor)?
