Will this setup be good for gaming

Hi, I'm trying to find a newish setup for my son and seen this on Facebook....

Cpu - 7 5800x
Gpu - 3070 Aorus Master rev 2 (led screen on)
power supply - corsair 750w
cooling- h110i corsair radiator
storage - 256gb ssd, 512gb ssd, 2tb hdd
case - 500d se rgb obsidian series corsair
fans - 6 LL120 corsair fans with rgb hub controller
ram- 32gb 3200mhz corsair vengeance
motherboard - x570 tuf gaming asus

He currently has a gtx1070 with a Ryzen 5 3600, so would the above unit be much better for newer games etc?

Yes that PC is much better than his old one for both gaming and work but you could try upgrading his old one instead with new parts

Aa mentioned earlier, you'd be better off upgrading his existing PC. Assuming the PSU is capable a 5600 or 5700X3D + a new GPU such as a 16gb 9600XT or better would be cheaper and offer a superior experience.
