The offer on the 3700 will run out next Thursday so it might go back up in price before you order. I would say save your money and do a full system upgrade. Your not going to get much more life out of that 5900FX or the PC 2700 RAM.
The price of the 3700 and dual sata is £136.
The price of an AM2 upgrade for an A64 3800, MSI 550 motherboard, 2GB DDR2 RAM and an x1800XT is £481.
While that may be quite a bit more than the 3700 upgrade price your getting far more for your money. If you can't afford to spend that much then look for a glut of second hand 939 systems hitting the 2nd hand market in a month or so. This way you don't have to worry about the CPU going out of stock, there will be mountains of A64 939 systems for sale for at least the next year.
