I have a Gigabyte B450 AORUS M and have updated the BIOS to F41 does that mean it is OK to drop in a Ryzen 7 3700X?

why not just update to F51

1. Update AMD AGESA ComboV1 1.0.0.6 for 3rd Gen AMD Ryzen XT series processors
2. Fix AMD security vulnerabilities for SMM Callout Privilege Escalation

if it supports XT will support anything lower

also make sure REV is correct this ones for REV 1.0 check the manual to see where it says REV on board

Should have updated to the latest bios.

You should wait and see what Zen 3 brings AMD event is on 8th Oct and B450 is supported
