Hey guys, just a quick one... if you connect a wireless router to a wired router can i use it as a AP ?

so like this |cable-modem--->wired-linksys-router--->wireless-usr-router|

reason i ask is that i think the linksys router is more responsive then the usr one and id like to use it for the wireless funtion only as 5/7 nodes are wired.

i know i should prob just plug it in and see if it works but i cant just interupt everyones net if its not gonna work... done it too many times before and i can foresee a slipper across the face if i interupt me mums im's again lol

thanks in advance
Soogs~

I've done it before, you just need to disable DHCP on the second router.

And connect the wireless router to the other one via the LAN ports.
If you do that, you're essentially using one of the routers as just a switch right? That makes the most sense to me.
