Hi All
Not done that much system building so need a little advice and opinion about this setup I’m thinking on

Asus A8N-SLi SE nForce4 SLi (Socket 939) PCI-Express Motherboard

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ (Socket 939) - OEM

GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC3200 Value Dual Channel Kit CAS3

BFG GeForce 7900 GT OC 256MB GDDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express)

VapoChill Micro High End (Socket 754/939/940)

Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM

Arctic Cooling T1 Silentium Silent Midi Tower Case - 450W Seasonic Silent PSU

a few things, what is the difference with a oem cpu and a retail one, and would i need anything else for this to work well, bear in mind I have cd-drive and a decent sound card and other peripherals already.

any suggestions or help would be good

cheers
Danny

Arctic freezer 64 pro instead of the vapochill IMO, OEM has one year warranty and doesnt come with a cooler whereas retail has 3 years warranty and a heatsink/fan.

Rest looks good.

do i need a heatsink for the cpu or just the fan?

Danny

if you buy the arctic freezer it comes with everything needed. if you buy the vapochill one you may need to buy a fan as well if its just a heatsink.

The gfx card comes with all the cooling it needs - look at the pics!

You certainly won't need anything better than that.

Nice setup btw, good luck with it.
