Hi, can someone tell me will this combo work together;

Asus P5NSLI nForce 570 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-179-AS)

with

Pentium D 805?

I've looked at Nvidia, OCuk and ASUS and I've got 1 says it will OCuk and 2 don't show the combo. But Nvidia shows the other 90nm Smithfield cores as supported by the chipset.

Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Those boards fully support dual core cpu's including Conroe's. if a board supports conroe chips then its pretty safe to say that they support any intel 775 chip. not to hot for overclocking but as the multiplier is so high on those CPU's you dont really need a great FSB clocking mobo, you should easily get 200fsb = 4gb+.

Thankyou to you all. Ordered one today, hope it will go better than my last overclocking set up- high pressure self built cooling system that developed a leak- very irritating.

Cheers
