just a quick question
I have a wireless router and its getting hammered with 3 wirelss pcs and an Xbox ,my wired gaming PC ping goes sky high
Rather than limit the wireless to g and b can I improve my wired PC by coming out of the modem into a 4 port switch ,1 port to my PC and 1 port upto the wireless router .
would I gain a better wired connection from this

Sadly adding a switch won't improve your ping times as all internet traffic is still going down the same line from your modem to tin'er web.

I suggest only playing games on one machine at a time ;)
 
its a 10 meg cable connection and it doesnt feel like its maxed out ,just overloaded at router when all the wireless devices are on,thought switching into hardwired PC first may be of a advantage
