Hey all,
I bought a new Graphics card the other day, it was the HD5830 but i couldn't get it to work on my motherboard. I took my pc and card to my local pc shop to get my system tested and everything works fine, they tried the card in 2 other pc's amd they couldn't get it to work. they told me the card could be faulty. I have the Asus P5N-E SLI motherboard.
i sent the card back to overclockers to get it tested they did a test and it came back fine nothing wrong with the card
so i borrowed a mated card 8800GTX to get me up and running, i then did an BIOS update i heard that could help with the 5830 card. I then got my card back from overclockers and tried it again with no joy!!
So i've sent the card back and they are giving my a refund and now im left with what card to buy! I'm thinking of buying http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-000-PL&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1830 hoping this card will work with my Motherboard. or this one http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-216-SP&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=1515
If anyone know anything about my board will the GTX460 work with it? or do you have this board and card running on your setup?
Any help with be great as i'm not sure what to buy!
