Will an AMD 9590 work ok with the MSI 990FXA GD65 motherboard? If so, do I need a new power supply?

Which CPU should I get to play upcoming games like: Far Cry 4, Project Cars and GTA 5? Because for Project Cars, it says that an 8350 is recommended for it, and i'm sure it'll be the case for most games on the way.

I know this is going off topic a lot, but how would I go about changing from an MSI to a GIGABYTE motherboard? I know how to physically do it, but I don't know what to do when it boots. Will it do everything by itself?
