It should do, however a couple of things that may influence that:
1) is the location you want to extend from on the same circuit as the router? If not it might work but at a reduced data rate or it may flat out refuse to work.
2) are you able to plug the none wifi powerline node in to a socket directly on the wall? Similarly an extension lead may impact the ability of the powerline kit to work
3) do you have a spare Ethernet port onto he router? Seems obvious but if I don't ask it will have been forgotten about
As far as I can tell the wifi node of that powerline kit relies on an ethernet connection to it directly or to the other powerline adapter.
The powerline kit would give you ethernet in a room. Some kits provide wifi built in or you could extend (wifi booster) but it would rely on the wifi from either the rooter or another wifi signal.
