will this G.Skill 3GB (3x1GB) DDR3 NQ PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Triple Channel

work ok with this guys AMD Phenom II X3 Tri Core 720 and this mobo
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P (Socket AM3

cause i herd tri eme is only for intel i7

The memory will fit in the mobo but it won't run in tri-channel.

You'd be better getting a dual channel kit (or two!

).

I run 4x 2gb dimms.

It will work - but only in single channel as far as i'm aware.

For dual channel you need either two or all four dimm slots populated.

It might run a combination of dual and single channel, seem to remember the athlon 64s did this, not certain though.
