Will upgrading from PC2100 to PC3200 make much difference?

I've been using a couple of cheap PC2100 RAM modules for a while now, but am wondering whether it'd be worth upgrading to PC3200 or not (that's the most my motherboard can take)? I'm into graphic and web design and not so much gaming.

Just wondering that's all! ;)

I don't think it'll make that much difference, probably better idea is to upgrade my mobo and get some top notch memory, but I know for a fact that if I go that route I'd end up spending on a nice new processor as well and probably end up splashing out on a shiny new 20" LCD while I'm at it! LOL!

How do you guys finance this oh-so-expensive hobby!!

It won't make a huge difference, on a 2.4b PC2100 is the correct RAM to match with it iirc (I'm not big on Intel systems, so I could be wrong) I doubt you'd see large gains with PC3200.

Save your pennies for a big overhaul when you can afford it, they'll be some real S939 bargains coming up second hand when Conroe hits.

S939 being?

Socket 939, the AMD64 platform, its been replaced by AM2 now, and the lure of Intel's Conroe will mean these systems will be selling cheap second hand and still offer great performance.
