Anyone had their cable point moved in their house? Currently ours is in a different room from the PCs. Everything runs fine over Wifi but I'd rather just use a cable for my main PC as having a wireless card in there takes room up.

I'm assuming there would be a charge involved. Just wondered if this is easy to sort out.

if it is all above board and legitimate it will cost £75 for any adjustment of cables/points in the house.

just grab a VM engineer on the street and ask him to do it for you, probably a quick drink or three will sort him out

Not knowing the lay out of your house I could be wrong here;
if your computers are in the back room, or any room other than the front of the house they will probably just run a coax from the current entry point to where ever you want it now.

What I'm getting at is, if this is the case then you could just as easily, and cheaply run a network cable.

Just buy some satellite co-axial cable (Coz its double sheilded) and move it yourself. Just screw on one end and run it to wherever you like. You could even just drill another hole in the wall and then route it back out.
