I have a 2 years old or older MBP it the 2.16Ghz Verion just wonder will Windows 7 Work on it...

And what the best way to duel boot have to reformat the hd again or can i just get Bootcamp on now?

Get the 32bit version. You need to put the ISO on DVD. Easy to do in OS X, just drag the ISO file into the box under all your hard drives in "Disk Utility". Just load up boot camp and adjust how much space you want to allocate to the windows drive. If the drive is too full or has redundant invisible files the partitioning will fail and you may need to reformat your whole drive.

I'm running it on my old 2.33GHz and it's excellent so far!

Have fun!

EDIT - I'm having problems finding drivers for the X1600 though. Laptopvideo2go may help but that's for nvidia...

That the Same GFX as mine oh dear... Does Windows 7 Work fine without getting the drivers? Or what problems you getting?

Just started my Download and need to get a Blank DVD off my bro as I none left... Then I see how things goes :)

Don't worry too much, it grabs a display driver as soon as you run windows update. It's just the Catalyst Control Center that you won't have!

You just need your Leopard disk/s ready for when you boot into windows for the first time to install all the necessary drivers. Then run windows update and it grabs any other needed drivers.

I may run the leopard disk and see if i can get the CCC on that but at the moment i'm not too fussed as windows grabbed the latest update.

It's a bit of a poor show that ATI don't provide drivers for their mobile chipsets...nVidia do!

Right I have installed Windows 7 on my MBP now... But it wont install any of the drivers off my Leopard CD saying need to be XP or Vista. So i am get get the full use of my trackpad such as right click also cant get isight and none of the function key works like eject etc

What shall i do

I didn't need to do anything like that. Just whacked in the DVD and installed it! Jobs a good-un.

Hi Mate,

Can you tell me your steps on how you did this as i can at all use my Leopard DVD at all..

Boot Camp Assistant in OSX is version 2.0 and cant find a way to upgrade it as think this might be the problem?

Please help as I cant use my trackpad or my ejext button etc in Windows

If your having trouble installing particular files boot up windows with the leopard disc in and right click on the disk in My Computer and go to explore and navigate to the files you need to install. Be it keyboard drivers or graphics etc.

The drivers still wont load in even if I do it that way... I think it something to do with Boot Camp... I cant even upgrade the Boot Camp to 2.1 in Windows either....

When you first installed windows within OSX Boot Camp Assistant what version is yours within OSX?

I'm not sure. Probably 2.0.

My leopard disk is a proper retail version that i got on leopard release. So 10.5.0.

What disks are you using?
