Will windows 8.1 secure erase my SSD on a fresh install??

As above. Will I have to secure erase using other software first or will it do it on installation?

Assuming you are keeping the drives and not selling them to somebody else..

You can do it on installation, just format the drives/delete the partitions.

Okay thanks. I just wanted to be sure it brings the drives back to 100% efficiency and not just formats them.

I used to use secure erase in dos to be sure but if win8 has this built in then that's fine.

u will need to use secure erase in dos still to bring the performance back to 100% has your SSD uses SandForce controller. win8 doesn't have a SSD secure erase feature built in. win8 only has the mechanically HDD secure erase feature built in

Yes I have corsair LS series which supports sandforce.
