Ok, using advise from some members and also reading up on others heres my build, gone a bit over budget but hey , thats life isnt it!.

Pc will be used for gaming as im fed up of playing fps on 360 etc

I plan to get it use it , and then all being well overclock it, will i need anything else.

With regards to graphics cards im looking at Ati 5850's but there are so many and im really not sure which to go with.

Will i get decent temps using the case ive picked and cpu cooler etc?

the h50 is pretty awsome with speedstep enabled when the CPU drops to around 0.8volts when idle getting temps of around 17,18,18,18. upto 30 - 35 after an hour of gaming at 3.2Ghz

If you are just transitioning from a 360, what are you using for a monitor and speakers?

Also grab another fan for the side, so you get airflow blowing in over the graphics card.

You'll need to wait for it, but it runs rings around the other 5850s, and is cheaper than most.

brill thats the advice i needed, was looking at going for the 5870 however if this is going to do the job i guess it makes more sence to save some pennies.. just got to see when oc can get it in .
