Well the manufacturer says the board can hold "Up to 8GB" so it would work, and i don't think it would overheat if you keep your system cool.

Saying this i'm not an expert on the topic of cooling, but your board can support it so just try it and see how it goes

Lol the overheating bit was a joke more than anything, i just wanted to know. Im using air cooling btw.
