First unveil! :cool:

Nose is obviously a lot shorter and everything looks more streamlined and aerodynamic. Teh sidepods look smaller and the rear looks quite tight from what can be seen. Might be just the pic but the front tyres look miles away from the FW lol. Looking quite tidy though.. more to follow!

Lol the nose.

So the FIAs attempts to remove pointy noses... hasn't removed pointy noses. Rather than Penises we now have nipples.

And that nose... well, I wonder if the FIA will be happy about that? I think they wanted everyone to have Ferrari noses and that was apparently what they based thier dimensions off of to get the regs sorted. Whoops!

A tweak to F1's technical regulations stipulating strict dimensional criteria to outlaw the extended noses nipped the problem in the bud, and no longer will F1 cars be compared to proboscis monkeys or anteaters.

Green thinks that the tight wording of Article 15.4.3 of the technical regulations will ensure that most noses look the same, with a design similar to Ferrari's 2014 car likely, but the key will be how well each team can finetune its design for maximum aerodynamic benefit.

Maybe thats why FI have delayed their launch... because they realised they have made a booboo with interpretation of the regs on the nose, found out how Williams are doing theirs and have delayed to try to change it.

I don't see why they still need that unless the Merc nose is going to have a nipple?

It might be because of their rear end. They need some more flow around the nose (more than merc get) to get more air round the coke bottle?

It will as per the new regs, the Merc 2014 nose would be illegal this year.

Would it though? Going by what Green from FI says in that Autosport article. I thought the Ferrari and Merc noses looked fairly similar, or has the few months break from the sport made me forget everything from 2014?

I think I recall both Mercedes and Ferrari 2014 noses already meeting the regulations for 2015.

I'd read previously that the Merc nose was illegal, will have a look for it.

I think the original Mercedes nose is 2015 legal. They made it shorter half way through the year.
