I entered the ballot this year and was super excited to find I'd got tickets for finals day for court No. 1.
Obviously by this stage of the competition all the main matches will be happening on center court. So we might see something like mixed doubles or boys singles.

It's a long shot but is there anyway to upgrade the ticket to center court on the day?
Or should we just enjoy the fact we don't have to queue for days and explore the grounds and head to Murry Mound if he (hopefully) makes it into the finals.

This will be my first time going, so any other tips / things to look out for?
E.g. Make sure you don't miss the X game on the outer courts.
Or, go stand by Y if you want to get a signature.
Maybe, buy your strawberries and cream from Z location.

Anyone else going to be there?

No way to upgrade your ticket unfortunately. But you should have an awesome day anyway. Make a relaxed day of it, take some time to wander around, don't feel like you have to 'get your money's worth' by watching every match on court 1. I bet the hill will be insanely busy for the final.

Doubt it. Centre will probably be completely sold out.

You might get lucky and be given some tickets if people are leaving early. That's how I got Centre Court seats for the Murray Federer final the year before Murray won.

Strawberries & Pimms will both be horrendously overpriced.
Some of the best tennis I saw was the wheelchair matches. Incredible skill. And the Invitation matches, which is basically veterans. I saw Navratalova/Navotna vs Hingis/someone else, which was pretty good fun.

I've been a few times and have never entered the ballot. It is all about the queuing! You can enter the grounds if you are willing to queue for a few hours for something like £20. The queue is shorter the later in the week you go.

If you want to get on centre court or court 1 all you have to do is go to the resale queue. It tends to open later in the day and you can easily get in to the big matches for £5-10.
