Win 10 Home <--> Win 10 Pro

I have an miniPC with Pro installed and a laptop with Home installed.

The laptop is used at work and really needs Pro on it to join a domain, so I need to swap them over.

Both the miniPC and Laptop have digital licences.

Is it simply getting the product keys (from a scanner prog) from each and then swapping the
product keys over in 'This PC - Properties'?

Assuming they are both OEM licences I don't think it's possible. The way Windows 10 has changed how licenses work (they don't depend on product keys any more) I don't think even swapping the drives around will work either.

The pro key you have already will unlikely allow you to activate when you change version.

No. When your machine registers itself, details are logged by Microsoft. These details absolutely identify the machine. The problem is that if you attempt to register a different machine with the same key, Microsoft starts asking questions and they would not accept your answer. Maybe you could lie but it's at best risky. It would be far simpler to just upgrade the Laptop.
