I have 2 SSD's, one with Windows 10 on and the other empty.

If I installed Windows 10 on the empty SSD, could I boot into that with a clean installation of Windows?

Or would there be consequences or conflicts?

dual booting two copies of windows 10 is fine. In fact it's easier than dual booting 7 and 10 :)

Best way to do this is remove your OS drive then install the new OS on the spare.
Then, plug in your old one and use your bios to choose which one you want to boot to.
No messing around with dual boot that way.

Thanks. In the end I used AOWEI Backupper to clone my OS and decided to just have one OS drive. One thing I didn't know was to unplug my old OS drive and use the same SATA cable for the new OS drive.

I've just done this yesterday myself and this is the way I prefer to do it as well. Win10 does a decent enough job if you leave both in during installation but for me it is much better to remove/disconnect 1 drive during the initial install phase and then press F8 once it is installed (for my motherboard) as it is booting up and then select the drive I want it to boot from.
